Castleton, Derbyshire. A quaint little village in the Derbyshire Peak District. The majorityof houses are small stone built from local limestone. In the area there are many caves/mine-works. The famous Blue-John Stone is mined just a few miles from the village. A beautiful part of the UK and ideal for walkers and ramblers as well as pot-holers.
This image was taken in RAW format near the 'Devil's Arse' cave - yes, that's the name of the place.
The image received a B&W conversion followed by a little dodging & burning and then, using Paintshop Pro X2, I hadd a little play with the preset frames which gave this shot a nice olde-worlde feel.
