Tone Mapping

All I did was use tone mapping in Paintshop Pro. I won't got into a lot of detail, but it is similar to HDR and helps compensate for the limited dynamic range of the camera's sensor (or other medium). More can be learned here:

Now, let see if I can remember all the procedure, first, I gave more details on the highlights on the bird head, and obviously, it affected the entire image. Color balance, more red and yellow.
Then the level tool, played with the red and blue middle tone. Color balance removing green cast.
