Met this retired teacher from Texas A&M who was taking a break from the heat and visited with him for a while as he told me tales of dirt roads before he left to continue his journey. I found him so interesting that i asked him if i could take his picture before he continued on. The back ground is a roadside park with the railroad beyond. I found him such a colorful character that if i could somehow capture the essence there would be no additional processing necessary.

Post processing was mostly resize for TL and unsharp mask applied.

Hope you enjoy.

B&W, Cloning, masking

Jeff,

this is how it went...

first I made it B&W in the channel mixer, then duplicated layer, boosted contrast, add layer mask reveal all, masked out the man to keep him looking 'normal' but hi-con everything else. Makes for more drama in my opinion.

Next was some cloning to loose the distracting lumps of wood under the bike and removing the all too modern sprinklers.

70's job? You decide.

Take Care
