The Tide is Out

Don't you just love the sky here? I do...

This is Long Bay Beach, a long beach about 8kms north of where I live.

Long Bay beach is one kilometre long and is a very popular setting for many activities. It's a great place to bring the family for fun at the beach, and is only about half an hour’s drive from Auckland city.

During the week, especially when the tide is out, you will see many people walking, running, and dog-walking on the beach.

This is my grandson playing on the beach - that day we all had fun kicking around a couple of soccer balls.

Hi Janice...
Nice shot with so nice view...
Beautiful scene with little boy...
Nice work...
Have a nice weekend...

Beautiful shot Janice!! And the boy adds so much to it! This would almost work as well in BW I think. Your sky is super dramatic! What a great reflection in the sand you have achieved also!

Kia Ora Janice, Te One roa o Kahu, nice place that....yes I could just see you running here, maybe I will take Jackson for a walk along here too. :-)

Beautiful capture my friend, love the inclusion of your grandson, nicely composed, good sharpness and the sky adds just a little drama.

There is an element of Henri Cartier-Bresson here Janice.
I'm referring to the heel about to touch the water, I'm presuming it was intentional.
A lovely scene, and the fact he is looking back into the picture is a nice touch, well done.
Hope you have a lot of fun with your new toy.

Love the story telling, seeing what happens in time is something you rarely see. I was surprised and delighted. Had to look at both photos a few times I appreciated it so much. Thanks
