Finally! The first shot of the TE cover that I like. I hope this one is chosen! Good luck. The only suggestion is to add the mission statement.
Addendum: Yes, I thought about a B&W background too but wasn't sure -
I trust Adrian's taste in photography and design so I will dido that.
About USA not being on the cover: hmmmm. can you put it in the back cover? Sort of a continuation (leave this in the front cover though).
I hope this is the final vote. :)

very good idea, great job. Congrats.
NIIIIIIIIIIIIICE Torben!
I did not see this! as it was on the second page!
God, this is very nice
I just wonder if the white background could be changed to a light brown,
again, this is so nice as the pictures are small and invite to see more!
Just beautiful, my vote is now on this one!

A very innovating idea, Torben, to be worked adjusting tiny things like background, restricting to submitted photos but this can only be done when the submissions are closed.
Certainly an excellent contribution of creative thinking, hoping that this could challenge others still, altough this will be hard to beat, that's for sure.
Thanks a lot and keep on to it.

well, who thought of a map before? so obvious and simple and neat I am impressed!
it might (or might not) be a pb to have the US in the back cover - some might not want it, but itīll be more a political discussion than an aesthetics one.
colors: dark blue, instead of white, would do for me, it wouldnīt look like TLīs colors. the pictures chosen to illustrate the countries could be smaller too, so that you somehow could show more of each country already in the cover.
hummm i have the impression i am speaking too much withtout the proper knowledge.
this one is so brilliant. it has my vote, and Curtis could make the text ;)

good...crisp and clean
doesn't look like cd cover since it shouldn't if it's to be a book
not an ad - no gimmicks - nothing cheesy
it's not a users manual - not a product brochure
people are trying but...
from someone who has no vested interest in this effort
this version is the choice as of today
others can take that as a challenge to step it up
clearly the best tie in with the mission statement
oh and yes - stick with the white
a lot can be said for black i agree
[and some would argue blue, but...]
think about how to address the inland water bodies for example...
white will do a better job at conveying the space

before i get spammed - h$^& no i couldn't do any better than the rest of you
rather - worse and i don't need to prove it ;-)

Another good cover Torben. You have done good work on both of your covers. Very cleverly done, especially the map of the world. And I agree wih the world as it is - New Zealand is on the front cover - where it deserves!!
Thank you.

Good idea, I like it! I'm sure someone will complain about the US not being on the front cover though ;) I also wonder whether it would look better on a black background...
