Hello Ian,

You have produced a fine shot with your Nikon 300 in this early evening light. The composition is lovely, as is the details on the f/g rocks but most of all, I like the swirling, electric shock effect that you have captured on the surface of the water, particularly in the f/g.

I've always wanted to do a shot in this genre but I haven't managed it. Yet. Those smooth textures of the moving water are great, and your compositional ratios are spot-on. Maybe a little darker in the sky ... there are some bright spots verging on OE, but overall this works beautifully.

Beautiful scene with great slow-shutter effect on the surf; very impressive for a hand-held shot at 1/5. The wide angle gives a sense of broad space. Great exposure throughout - the details of the rocks in the foreground can be seen. Nice image!
