A9C-GJ /605 (cn 24495/267) "Al-Muharraq". Specially painted in this glorious livery to celebrate Gulf Air's 50th Anniversary which fell on the 24th of March 2000. Knowing that they got it right, no wonder they decided to leave the livery on the plane. Looks just like an Arabian Princess with a veil covering her face & studded with gold all over...............Airplane named "Al-Muharraq"after the historical & northernmost island of the Bahrain archipelago, the Bahrain International Airport (BAH/OBBI) is also located on this island.

Date of Production : 17th May 1989, Date of Delivery : 13th June 1989. Engines : 2x GE CF6-80C2B4. The Kingdom of Bahrain attained full 100% control of the airline as the last remaining joint-owner - Oman withdrew to concentrate on its own flag-carrier, as a result the reg'n # was changed from A4O-GJ to A9C-GJ on 26th November 2007.

where, exactly, in dublin airport were you when you took this pic?
it must have been a very tall tower?

Great capture. Probably the most attractive plane i've seen.
Well done Piotr!

Hello Piotr
Airplanes make a good theme when you live near an airport. this plane here is particularly interesting for its painting and the gold writing all over the fuselage. Very crisp detail and a real good shot.
Nicely done
Serge
