I love it too, David. And I love the idea of achieving the paint effect without the use of one of the traditional scripts. This is much more original and effective. A frame and a signature in the corner and this is ready for the art gallery.

It works great for me! The composition is so simple but so powerful, with a dual tone and that dark atmosphere in the background. The grain adds a kind of old oil painting to the shot.

I love this image too! And I like the final effect of the filter. Must admit, I really enjoy pictures of fresh fruit in a still life format, and yours is unusual. Am curious about what it would look like with some soft highlights. Lovely warm tones and nice compo too.

This turned out very nicely. It does have that painter's look about it. I like your idea of shooting in the very dark and then bringing some light back with post processing. It gives it that deep richness feel. The grain suits it.
