so here he is for all his fans that have asked after him :-) the beautiful Sir Bodmin looking regal as ever.. i'm posting this also as a slightly late birthday present.. last week Bodmin had his 4th birthday! well.. like most royalty he has 2 birthdays.. a natural one and an 'official' one.. and as my sweet man was born on the streets long before i knew him, his natural one is still a mystery... but january 16th 2004 was the day that he entered the humane society animal refuge to then be adopted by me almost a year later so.. i guess it is his 'rebirth day' :-)

sorry i haven't been able to comment for quite a while.. my brain is rather scrambled at the moment so i can't participate as much as i'd like (as usual..) but thank you all so much as always for your kindness, support and understanding... it really is so appreciated.. ^_^

hugs from me and the lovely Bodmin,
Ayda

Hey Ayda,
Sir Bodmin looks great in this shot.
Good Composition and the feathered presentation is different.
His coat does seem rather light though. Did you lighten him up for contrast against the black background?
I think the feathered photo with a richer blacks on white background would also work well here.
I do love the overall shot of Bodmin and the awesome look in his eyes as well as the reflection.
Take care and hugs,

~Michael~

What a beautiful portrait of your cat. I love it. Thanks so much for sharing with us.

He is a real sweety Ayda and I will sing for him Happy Birthday ;-) So as usual a very good photo from you.
I hope and pray that you'll feel better soon Ayda...it is hard and sad to read about your suffering.
All the best for you my dear friend.

Hugs for you Ayda and Sir Bodmin,

Jos

This a masterpiece Ayda,he looks so majestic and deep thinking,it's great how the light makes a little play with his hair coat, the crop is excellent,I would like to make a such kind of portrait of my black cats!
Brava.
Edie

You did something in the texture behind, i like it! Remain texture of a piece of wood! That's nice! It give a subtile result!

I really like the way you present him, Ayda... in a very royal way, I might add ;o).
Really, I like the way you made him blend in with the backdrop.
Take care, both of you.
Hugs,

Frank

hi ayda!

first of all, you have a beautiful name..

i went through your gallery here on trek earth and have concluded that you are a very able and intelligent photographer..

u love cats, well, about 10 years ago, i had a cat too, his name was 'peela' which means yellow.. it was because he had a yellow tail...

he grew up with me and my bro in our bedroom, and was very mischievious... we loved him for that... and then, there came a time when he died of cold as he was out all night with a lady cat... quite a flirt he was...

losing peela caused a lot of pain.. but its over.. its been ten years already...

u mention your health, and i noticed that many people not only send you comments and critiques, they also mail you, so my mail shouldn't be a surprise..

i understand that you respect feelings, and let me share whats in my heart...

when i saw your photo on your intro page, i told myself 'she is so beautiful'...

and as i went through your intro and your photos, i realised just how sad and sorry and lonely and empty you may feel at times...

i dont know whats wrong with your health, but i see you have a problem sleeping...

u write detailed critiques, and even longer (meaningful) notes, yet, u seem sad..

with you being in italy and me being here in Pakistan, it seems difficult for me to be of any help or support to you... but this is what i have to say to you.. 'try to find happiness in everything you can, for if you haven't tried.. then you haven't lived'...

may Allah bless you... you are a sweetheart, i mean it, u are a sweety who just needs someone to look up to, some feeling to hold on to, and something to put your faith in, with all your heart and all your soul...

O hark, let us not think of the morrow
Cherish this moment, far from sorrow
Life is a temporal gift that we borrow
Whether dead for ages, or leave tomorrow.

--- i know you may not be able to reply to my mail, but the least you can do for a stranger like me, is smile... i want there to be a smile on your lips which emerges from the heart... i want you to 'see' with your heart, our hearts 'see' and their reports, if properly interpreted, are never false.. :)

let my heart see your smile ayda...

take care and have great 'days' :)

muhammad muhsin

p.s. give two muhco's (kisses) to your cat :)

very well done Ayda, excellent photo

jaco
