|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|The title of this picture refers to the background. This is the Dover Calais ferry, the shortest crossing between England and France at about 18 miles across. This for us is an annual pilgrimmage. |
We always take the earliest ferry we can (4.45 a.m. this year) so that we have a whole day for the drive down. This shot clearly shows the state of light at this time in the morning on a British summers day. The washed out, almost pastel, colour just before the sun rises. The wide eyed tiredness is captured here in Naomi's eyes. She was not quite with us.
This is such a typical morning look for our eldest daughter.

For this picture,...Nice shot with beautiful model...>well done...>
Hehe ... well it's not the most welcoming look I've seen in a portrait, but very clear and sharp with excellent diffuse light. Good composition and crop.
I see somebody else's hair waving about at the bottom right edge of the frame.
BEAUTIFUL SHOT OF BEAUTIFUL LADY
Before I read the note, I was going to say that it wasn't really good looking because of the washed out look, but I fully understand now. :)
Really great details-priceless expression of her(reminds me of my sister with my parents).
Great crop just below the shoulder also.
Beautiful portrait of your daughter. Yes, you have captured all the details in a way you have put them in notes.
