[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The South coast town of Deal in Kent is a pretty sleepy place. (It is where the Romans once tried to land apparently, and it used to be where the British navy were based a few centuries ago) Now it is the domain of the seagulls. On any given summers day they amass and eye an opportunity to scavenge for food. Leftovers form the main source of nourishment, chips, crusts and crumbs. The noise they make is magnificant and it echoes from the buildings behind this shot.
This particular shot was taken with an 85 mm lens and gives an indication how fearless these creatures are. They are used to living and feeding alongside humans and the seafront walk is more interesting for it.
Cropped, sharpened and resized for TL. I liked the detail on what might otherwise be just another seagull picture.

Hi Mike - catching a bird in flight so sharply is damned tough regardless of species - so many congrats on such a sharp shot. The head-on POV is also a treat. Good stuff!

Very nice capture! Excellent sharpness, exposure, placement ... what else can I say, this works very well!

Nice shot here. The clarity on the bird is great. However, there might be a bit too much sharpening, as you can see artifacts around the edges of the bird (I have the same problem often). Almost makes it look superimposed on the background.

Perfect timing! You framed this well. The last time I tried like this shot, I only got a silhouette.

Nice shot, very clear and good color balance and also great subject.
Good job,
