[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This image is for one of three fossils that I shot today and will share with TL, I am practicing with the new macro lens and indoor lighting. I thought to share with you a 180 Million Year old Photo (I mean fossil). Fossil Ammonite (Dactylioceras Commune) was found in Ohmaden near Holzmaden, Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany is 173-183 Million Years old (Jurassic Era). This ammonites were found in the shales of Holzmaden, Germany. The largest of these ammonites can reach a diameter of 5 feet. The shell was coiled and divided into chambers that could be filled with gas or water, allowing the animal to either rise to the water's surface or sink into deeper water. The largest chamber was a living chamber, and it was there that the soft body was found.

Hi Vic

They were selling these in the markets in Nepal & Tibet. The trilobites must have lived in a shallow sea between India & Asia before the Himalayas were formed. Interesting shot of the fossils. Tfs!
