-applied antique grayscale effect and adjusted exposure in lightroom
-moved onto CS3
-adjusted levels
-lightened foreground using curves and gradient mask

-burned and dodged using an overlay layer and painting black and white

I like this alot, it looks like a pencil drawing, it has lots of detail in it.
