[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is in the medieval museum and is a chair made with spikes so as the prisoner can be interrogated
or he suffers more pain until he admits his guilt!

This is one of the more mild forms of punishment the rack was used to stretch the person until his joints popped. Not a pleasant place to be a prisoner.

The Criminal Museum is located on the Burggasse in the oldest part of the city. Outside the building is displayed the dunking stool which was used to punish bakers whose bread was too light. Dishonest bakers were dipped into the well on the Market Place.

The Criminal Museum has four stories of displays that cover 2000 square feet. In the basement are displays of torture instruments such as the rack.
