Springtime ushers a sense of rebirth, itís a season that is synonymous to a fresh start...

This fly must have decided to step up the social ladder. Tired of the garbage cans, it settled on a flower patch and dug in. :D

Seriously, I think this is really a flower fly (please correct me if Im wrong). Im just not sure what specie.

PP works
- Auto levels, auto contrast
- Cropped and resized in PS (Bicubic sharper)

Its nice to be back :) My previous post says Im saying goodbye to my Oly. So here's my new shot after two weeks hiatus...

Have a nice weekend everyone!

ang ganda! lufet ng kulay! Tfs

Very impressive macro - lovely composition and sharpness. I really like the vibrant colours and the point of view.

What a colourful back that is.. very fresh and crisp photo Allan.. great detail and clarity, thanks

Great macro Allan. The blue and black fly against the bright yellow flowers is a nice contrast. Good composition and clarity. Thanks for sharing.

I like the contrasting colors here. The metallic blue bodes well against the yellow. The inclusion of the light blue really makes for a great BG. Looks like the focus was perfectly exectuted as well as the notes. I think we may call this a blowfly in the states. Im in the last few days of my stay in Tokyo, Japan..and have yet to see ONE bug!
Nicely done,

That is an impresive shot, Like a lot all the colors, Thas what I call a HD Picture ?

great shot, nioce compostion , clors, texture, good work, thanks scott

Thats striking and extremely vivid and indeed very bright and refreshing. I love the fly and the dash of black it provides to the whole yellow scenario. You have composed it well and have made a good shot out of it. You surely seem to have a way with the colours Allan.

I tend to avoid "fly" photos because ... well, I don't like flies. But this shot is so unusual, and so unusual for you, that I had to stop by!

Great sharpness, colour, and perfect placement of your little insectile friend within the frame. A flower fly? I'll buy that.

Hi Allan,

Very good macro
The blue bug stands on a strong point ine photo
And makes it wonderful
Very good worrk

When I was little, I'd always kill these flies... they scared me so I would swat them with my Grandma's fly swatter. :) Ah I was an evil child. :P

Nice shot though Allan, eve if it isn't my favourite model. The blue and yellow contrasts very nicely (sky and bug)... and just the angle the image itself has such a nice use of colour. Very well done! :)
