The main square was the focal point for the people of Cusco (10,800 ft above sea) in the time of Incas, but it is used to be twicw as big compared to what is now. Plaza de Armas was once called Aucaypata ("the square of war or weeping") and was a ceremonial area enclosed on three sides by the imposing mansions of the Inca.

The main architacture buildings one can see in this area are Cathedral, Coricancha ("temple of sun") and Santo Domingo, Original Inca walls and stone work, and colonial characteristic of the structures.

This is the birds eye view of this place, and in workshop you'll find another photo of the Cusco.

Friends, THANK YOU very much. I'm not supposed to use computer for more than 6 hours a day until my optholmologist find right prescription of glasses/lenses suitable for my eyes. The pain is I work 8-9 hours daily on computer being computer professional. Today is Saturday, so can spend some time on TL. Hope to get back with you all soon. :) Vandana

Your POV is perfect and your colours and details exquisite. I love this image with its warmth-- it puts a bright face on this winter day in Canada. Thanks for your superb notes, and please take care of your precious eyes.
in friendship,
Silke

Hi Vandana,

This is an interesting view of the main square! Things look rather congested there! (^_^) That Cathedral sure looks old and I like the WS too!

Well done & TFS

Hello Vandana

This realy is a nice view of the square. What I like is all those rusted like colored roofs. Eventhow we dont see the mountains we can feel their presence.

Hello Vandana.
You show us here a very nice 'Spanish' looking town. It reminds me of Granada, seen from the famous 'Alhambra'.
Sorry to hear about your eyes, Best wishes for that.

Hello Vandana,
You have a great view to the plaza here, where the fine old church is the main attraction!
Awesone repetition effect in the red roofs, and the cathedral works well as an eye-catcher...
Strong colours, scenery is well framed!

This is a beautiful scenery with great POV, colors and details. I just wonder why you used this 1/2000 shutter speed. Was the light very strong? Anyway, this is very nice and interesting post. TFS,

The main square has been nicely taken in this frame. Pink hued roofs thached all over the foreground and looking marvellous. Well done my friend.

Many thanks for sharing this.

nice shot with good composition. well done.
muhammad

View is great, colors a little less. WS is better I think. Keep smiling
Rob

The place looks empty of their inhabitants ! Where are the people ?

Get well Vandana ! I hope your eyes will recover soon !

Best of luck with the lenses Vandana, I know that feeling having worked in computers for nearly 30 years. An excellent POV showing the colours and architecture of the town. Lovely detail and nicely presented. TFS,
David

Many thanks for your comment on ' Honey Bee’

I like this POV which make it look so impressive :-)

Hello Vandana.

Excellent picture, nice composirion and colors,

Regards.
Jose Luis.

Why did you put the red singled roofs in a workshop Vandana?
They also a well worth a seperate posting!
Love to travel with TL'ers to places I will probably never visit. Indeed, in this one there is more to see then in the WS - but that must have been nice to wake up to, that sea of red.
