Look at the moon over the mountain called Lomnica :-)

High Tatras the highest mountain of the Carpathian arch with a non-recurring natural beauty, a unique fauna and flora and a very good climate conditions. It is also a center for summer and winter sports, recreation, tourism and a spa treatment. High Tatras is also a protected area of the Tatras National Park (TANAP) with the highest amount of the primeval animals and plants in the Carpathians Mountains.

The second highest, Lomnicky stit (Lomnicky peak, 2632 m a.s.l.) is comfortably reachable by the cable cart.

More pictures from Tatras you can find here

I took this picture at 10:21 a.m. with ISO 100
The sky was very clear so I used CPL filter.

I made some PP work in Photoshop CS:
resized for TL
filtr: neat image

Hi Aga,
Great shot. I love the closeness of the two peaks, almost a ying and yang. They are seperate but share the same foothills. I really must visit the Tatras. I'm more attracted to them with every shot I see of them. I love your composition also, especially the tall trees in the foreground. They seem to be reaching up for the moon!
Great work and TFS,

Hi Aga

Wonderful repetition of the fg trees, with a superb 'big' blue sky. The clouds add to the already good tonal range. Tfs!

Witaj Aga,
Bardzo podoba mi sie Twoje zdjecie, wspanialy widok.Bardzo dobra praca.

When I was living in Vienna, we always blamed cold weather on coming down from that region, Aga. But from your October pic, it looks nice and inviting! Interesting alignment with the moon in the clear blue sky.
The name Tatra rings another bell in my memory: there once was a car named Tatra, very futuristic looking.

beautiful mountains for sure...nice how you got the Moon in there too..Nice shot! TFS
Donna :o)

thanks for your comments on my Happy Birthday Tricia Photo too..:o)

Hello Aga...lovely image, well composed and with good soft colour. The inclusion of the moon adds so much. TFS,
Many thanks for your comment on
Windwarde Revisited

Greetings from Australia, Aga.
Love your photo- it is so well composed.
Nice soft colors.
I visited the Tatras in 1987 with an Australian Ski Team.
The country side was lovely and you have captured it so well. If my memory is good there is a mountain called Krivan (The Crown) near a ski resort called Strebski Pleso(hope I got that right).
Best wishes from Sydney,

Hello Aga,
A beautiful capture of this rugged mountains!
Well composed image, with superb colours thanks to the good light and I notice the pale moon up above...
Is that a white building to the left side, I think I can see a road leading there too?
