|This is one of those pictures that that tugs at your emotions when you look at it, at least that is what my aim is. I came up with the idea after turning the shot to greyscale and increasing the contrast. The shot made me think that the person in the picture was lonely and upset and isolated in this bleak enviroment. So I added the words that came to my mind when I looked at the picture and this is the result. I would love to know your opinion on this shot wheather it is good or bad.|

The shot is nice. The person having the head bent down is really showing the idea of sadness.
I would not have mix the category of words such as the adjective:
helpless, confused, misunderstodd etc...
and the two last one, not adjective:
lonelyness and solitude.
Using another font, more manuscript, could have emphasize the sadness (instead of serif).
Original idea in any case!
Very good and moody shot, Matthew. Congratulations! I think you did a good job converting the picture to B&W. The words go well with the picture, although Fleur said something true about the word categories. I think I wouldn't go for the big white side with "Help Me", it emphasizes too much for my taste. It's your title as well, and the right part of the picture is clear enough.
Still, two well-deserved points for you!

Hi Matthew, you are right, it transmits a lot. I like the compos very much. B&W is perfect here and the words around are a good idea.
