[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Minimal approach here - just a duck and a bare branch. I'm not at all sure about the appeal of this shot and have resisted posting it but I like something about it so thought I'd risk a post. I think the reason I'm satisfied with the image is that it is exactly as I saw the shot when I spotted the duck against the sun and realised the potential for a graphic silhouette.

An interesting graphical composition of this duck and a bear branch in silhouetted form, dear Terry.
I like the light blue BG and the original approach to Nature photography.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hi Terry,
Well I for one, really like this shot ... I love the minimalist look, and love anything silhouetted against a clear blue sky. Simple and beautiful. Just one little niggle .... too bad the branch is touching the frame on the left. :)

Hello Terry-

I read your notes and I'm glad you decided to post it. As the saying goes, "Less is more" and as an architect by profession I follow this line of thinking. The sophistication in art lies in its simplicity and how it is presented to the viewer. In this case you captured the essence of your subject. Most of the time the first gut feeling normally works. Well done and thank you very much for sharing.

Best regards,
