Thank you, Niek, for your kind remarks about this one.

I quite agree - the foreground is a bit too dull. I actually have a couple of grad filters which I bought ages ago, but I have yet to use them! I really must try them out sometime! I am sure that in this situation they would have been of use. As it happens, it was jolly cold that day (-12C) and I didn't want to stand around too long. Also, I didn't have my tripod with me - I think you really need to set the camera up on a tripod to use graduated filters - is that right?
