If the image appears a bit low in detail and contrast on your monitor, it is probably the fault of the scan operator (me) rather than the scanner itself, or the film! The image could use some additional manipulation (burn and dodge) to make it pop as we are now accustomed to seeing from digital cameras, but I feel that the image as posted is a pretty realistic representation of the "canyon twilight" of the original scene. Light backgrounds such as TE provides tend to bury low-key images like this in flare; copying and pasting to a darker background will show it in a better light. Maybe I will do a workshop to show the effects of "luminosity masking", which would boost the shadow contrast and bring out the detail as you suggest. Cheers!
