Treklens was a delightful site at one time. It was a pleasure to post photos and see the many many many wonderful posts of fellow photographers. It was inspiring to read the comments of other people about your own photos and hopefully our posts were helpful and encouraging to others.
What went wrong ? It seems like the people responsible for the site have lost interest and they don't care anymore. I realize this is simply my opinion but it is based on when the evidence. I haven't posted for a long time. The last time I tried it was rejected so I too have lost interest and motivation. I am simply wondering when the last gasp of Treklens will take place. To those remaining I would suggest moving to Flikr and give the owners of Treklens the chance to close the site which appears to be what the owners really want.

It's been dying for over ten years. At one time this site was full of talented photographer that got simply tired of that non sense, point craving given to crappy pictures, arguments about technical issues by people that didn't care about what was presented, or didn't know anything about photography, arguing with the one that could have teach something about the craft, instead of pages and pages of boring flower shots and boring useless notes. The whole thing was bounded to fail big time. Anyway, nothing will revive this site again. Then that imposed note that didn't help the matter, this is my cat eating his dinner...Yeah we had a good thing going, but it been long gone. Who's sorry now?

I couldn't agree more, some very talented people are long gone. I sometimes post on Flickr and Photocrowd where photos are being uploaded every second.
