|Intro:||Photography is never ending. It isn't a field we I feel I will ever master and that's what I like about it. For me what is interesting is to keep pushing in new directions. I like becoming proficient in different areas but after I have learned what I feel is important I want to move on to something else. |
I am feeling more and more that digital photography has gotten so good that the average user shooting enough photos is bound to get something quite good. This is very nice for the casual user but frustrating for the person who is trying to really master the art.
While I use a high end digital for many things I am moving backwards into the past world of film. In this area there are many obstacles including getting the materials, determining the exposure, attempting to get the focus perfect and finally adjusting the light so that the tones show up accurately on the film medium.
For me this direction is saving me from becoming stale.
On this site I like to write about the learning process for me. I understand that most people are not going through or want to go through this but I am hoping there are people out there who are interested.
