'Bula' from Fiji...

I have shown you a few photos before of the wonderful sunset in Fiji last August when we had a week’s holiday there. Well this was taken the night before when there were no clouds in the sky and the sunset was more subdued. But even then, the sky was quite brilliant. The sun is setting behind the point on the left.

It was when I saw the colours of the sky this time that I decided to go out the next night to photograph the sunset. And am I so pleased I did.

OOPS!!!
Sorry guys and gals! I meant to put it though Noiseware and forgot!! Too rushed and tired! There's too much noise and extra bits!

Hi Janice

A wonderful tropical sunset, with excellent color, lighting, & sharpness. But there appear to be some artefacts in the sky. Perhaps some gaussian blur with feathering?

It is truly a beautiful postcard Janice!! I'd buy one! :)
I'd have left the black parts in dark...I can see something strange on the left bottom side ... maybe you've played with contrast to much there!??! :))
cheers
ToM

Never mind the noise, it's not at all disturbing, Janice. And you're absolutely right, it's a smashing sunset - even without a sun ;o)... Beautiful colours! TFS.

This is a beautiful composition which gives depth to the image. Framing nicely the delicate colours of the sunset, the foreground is clear and detailed, which is not often the case with sunset shots. The straw parasol adds interest to the scene. And the frame you chose is perfect. Great photo, Janice!

Gorgeous Janice, what an incredible view !! Youre so lucky to have witnessed this. if you hadnt had mentioned the noise i wouldnt have detected it cause the image itself is simply stunning...TFS

magnifique landscape!
exellente composition!
good shot!
bye....tanbinh.

Just an excellent photo Janice! Beautiful colours and composition.

Hello Janice,
You're making a very good PR for Fiji;) it's stunning and am so glad you went out there again and phtotographed the sunset! In my view, there is not a problem that the image didn't go through noiseware (do you use NeatImage?) and can well understand you being rushed and tired, same story over here...
Talk to you soon,

Shelly:)

Wonderful :)

Wow, the blend of color in this sky is amazing. The photo also has a nice natural composition that is pleasing. TFS

I've never heard of Noiseware. This looks great to me! Maybe could be a little darker in the shadows, and that would get rid of some of the artifacts in the lower left corner. I like the framing with the plants and palm, and the beach shade, and the colors of the sunset...
Paul

this is just wonderful with the trees and beach hut in the foreground in strong silhouette against eh lovely subdued colours of the sunset. I love the way the colours in the sky are changing from pink, through yellow and into blue. Wonderful! What special places in the pacific.
Cheers Joan

Hi Janice, Looks like the weather was good for your trip. This looks like a slice of paradise for sure. Clarity, colour and framing are excellent. Don't worry about the noise, if not mentioned i think no one else would either. Good presentation. Murray.

Hi, Janice.

What a magical place! I love the orange in your sunset. Great composition and good details.

Hello Janice,
a magnificent sunset you shot here. with great softness, calrity and pestel like rendition. Very beautiful indeed with the foreground beautifully composed as natural framing.
Excellent shot.

Regards,
Foozi

NB: Thanks for enjoying the flower shots in my posts. The white bulb with the white flower youre asking, is actually its bud. Very young bud blooming soon. Its fruit is long , thin and narrow. TQ

Janice,
well captured paradise,
Geert
