Here is an example of a symbiotic relationship, in this case mutualism, whereby the tickbird (or ox pecker) eats the ticks and mites that inhabit the giraffe's coat, and the giraffe gets rid of the parasites for free.

Almost flawless. Only the oversharpen Halo bothers somewhat.

Hi Michael

A good shot. I like the low point of view, but with a giraffe it's difficult to get anything else. Good composition, although maybe he's a little close to the top. I also think the bright sky has fooled the camera in slightly under exposing the animal.
I hope you don't mind but I've done a workshop to see if the giraffe could be recovered a little.

Hi Michael,
The silhouetted shape of the ox pecker clinging onto the giraffes neck is a common site and well captured to show their mutual relationship. They are curious animals and seems to be eyeing you out.

Hi Michael,
there have been a lot of giraffe shots recently, a great capture with the little bird, I think a "portrait view" (vertical) may have worked better
