Hi Jack,
Well I think you should because this is a fantastic monochrome image. Interesting balance of light and dark, the expanse of water suddenly stopped by the black mountain in the distant BG. Longer exposure has created a sense of movement and correct exposure.

Unusual way to show a sunrise ... I like this dark and elegant atmosphere.
Excellent composition well balanced in my opinion.
Superb b&w work.

Bonjour Jack,

Vous devriez en faire plus souvent! l'accord parfait du N&B et superbe effet de la pause longue!
j'aime l'encadrement horizontal,

Bomd dia Jack,
The answer for me is clear. The colors, tones and light of dawn attract the look and are eyecatching.

Yes, nice grey scale and soft tones for this original sunrise !

Hello Jack,
I see you have a slight preference for sunset and sunrise photographs and you say you do not know why you don't do more B&W of them. Very often colour simply cannot match B&W in many respects, atmosphere being one of it. This is the kind of result that would give one much gratification after spending hours in the darkroom. Please do more B&W photographs like this one. It is a pleasure to view.

Hi Jack
A monochrome sunrise, why not?
I like the variety of tones and the lighting.

Hi Jack

The colours of sunsets are pretty, pretty but black and white seems to add drama. I particularly like the dark tones of this one. Good shot and result.
