Out of nowhere did she appear. Original in color and converted to black & white and added vignette. Solitary lioness strolling around probable looking for a quick meal or her pride.

Hello Erwin,
The lack of sharpness probably was not intended with taking the photo but your decision to upload it after converting to B&W must have been deliberate, and I like it. It has the quality of a very old film photo and is something different here. I suspect most members here might not particularly like it but, for me, it is a pleasant view.

Yes Erwin, besides quality of this pic the way of presentation is good and you have tried to cover the noise with frame. Well tried.

Hi Erwin
The vignette and the b&w choice have created a good image, despite the fact that the queen is centered.

Hi Erwin,
Nice catch, I too like the old feel to this image and feel it was a good choice to go with B&W. Best wishes Bri

Bom dia Erwin,
Merits for you, for turning a shot poorly done in  a beautiful and moving image. That is what makes the artist.

I like this b&w, she is the queen indeed.
Love the grain wich adds an interesting atmosphere.
Great moment well timed.

Hello Erwin,
Beautiful and interesting photo of the version in black & white.

Beautiful photograph Erwin....Nice natural ambience. Like it.
Thanks for sharing,

When looking at other members comments, it seems like I am missing what you try to present with your B&W photos? This one does bring out something different though.

You are so lucky to live in Africa. The lion is one of my favorite animals I like the big cats all over the world hope to visite Africa some day.
I like that you made it B&W it looks like the old school I grow up with I still have my dark room and every ones in a while I make old style photos with negative and paper with my Canon T90.
