Experiment with different objects. I added a little saturation and contrast.

Maria Lorena

I like when someone tries figurative art.
Still life is a difficult excercise, knowing how to choose objetcs and organize them, they should tell a story.
I always look at a still life and I try to understand the thoughts of the author ..... Then I look if the "story" is told as I like.
According to my personal taste, there are too many elements, and I can not find the timeless atmosphere that I would have liked.
I like the reflections and the use of candle.
Interesting work.

Hi Maria

Like you, I am an enthusiastic amateur. So you can take my comments as you see fit. Firstly, I'm curious as to why you chose an ISO of 6400. This, I think, has caused some noise, especially around the candle flame. There are also some white spots dotted around the image and I think these could easily have been removed. The white handle and candle lack any real detail, maybe due to the exposure. I also think the handle of the jug is a little too close to the edge. Finally, I think the lighting is a little boring, maybe some side-lighting would have produced some interesting shadows.
Having said all that, the focus is good and, overall the exposure is also good. There are some interesting reflections in the jug.

Hi Maria,
I quite agree and think your ISO was unnecessary high with this type of work and has caused noise and the white areas do lack detail. The composition seems too squashed into the left of the image however a great idea and you should try it again.
