Took the boys to the park on the weekend and finally convinced them both that it was well past time to remove the training wheels from their bikes..Theres a path leading out the back of the park, under the railway tracks and into some streets on the other side. Its surrounded by tall trees and reeds growing out of the wet areas.
This was taken from the trees as one of the boys stopped for a rest in the shade under the tracks.I knew I'd have him in silhouette if I didnt want it overexposed on the far side in the sun.UNfortunately his shape isnt as sharp as I'd like but it was one of those spur of the moment shots.

Hi Fiona

A good spur of the moment or grab shot. He looks as if he is contemplating wandering into the outside. The black and white works well and you have some good detail. The attention isn't on the figure for too long before the eye starts to explore scenery beyond. So I don't think it matters that he's not as sharp as you would have wanted.
A good shot.

I don't understand why the silhouette is not as sharp, at 1/640 seconds it should have been. But very composition and good placement of the boy. I do like it in B&W. Well done, tfs.

Hello Wacky

That's what spur of the moment does. It surprises you sometimes with pleasant results. It almost looks as if your boy is looking into the wilderness not wanting to take it on. The line of the shadow seems to create a line of safety. neat result of your spur of the moment.

Jimmy
