Now that the oldies have moved from nextdoor we dont have to listen to 5am feeding sessions with the lorikeets, but last month a pair of these squawkers (Cockatoos) decided to check out the new neighbours for food...Okay it was 7:30am but geez it was the weekend....He's hiding in the middle of the trees with the sun coming through behind him. Just the right height for watching from the balcony..

Bom dia Fiona,
They are beautiful but so speakers!
Good shot despite the difficulties of white caught upwards.
Very good entry for the theme.
A nice WE,

Nice composition. You manage well the backlight.

Hi Fiona

Not a morning person then?
Excellent clarity with a nice blurred background. I like it. And the quiet.

Those guys can be very loud. I remember when I used to live in San Diego there was a family of parrots and their squawking were loud and early. Even with the backlighting you managed to get good details on the white feathers. Well done, tfs.

Hi Fiona,
Very well captured with nice detail and composure.I am looking after a friends " parrot" it starts screaming at five AM - I wonder when the neighbors are going to shoot it or me.
