Another portrait of the celebration of Venitians masks and dresses during the Feasts on the River Loire in September. As our friend Teresa said about my first post of this serie , it seemed as if Venice had changed place and come to Orleans that day.It reminded me a line of the french poet Corneille in the tragedy of Sertorius.
Sertorius , a Roman general who has seceded, says proudly to Pompee :
"Rome n'est plus dans Rome, elle est toute où je suis"
(Roma is no longer in Roma, she is all where I am "
I choosed to call this one The Queen of ices ,not only for her general appearence but also because her cold look can not be seen frontally.

une note irresistible... on imagine des tres belles masques pas dans la mer mais si sur Loire.
Tu as trouvé un beau nom ...elle semble même glacial avec de blanc et bleu.
Um abraço

Hi Henri
Yet another show off of a very fine display of cool colors. Excellent clarity and detailed artwork.

Very artistic portrait! Venetian masks are always very intriguing, creating the same mystery feeling that they were originally used for. I love the cropping.
