[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Spied these two beacons at Plymouth Hoe in Devon England.The Lighthouse is not in operation as a working Lighthouse but more a memorial to its designer
which is why it is named the Smeaton Tower.I'm unsure as to the history of the foreground beacon,whether it is or was used as a warning or as a celebration light.

Bom dia Ron,
The viewpoint adopted favored the perspective and depth of field.
The photo is full of architectural marks of time as a "cover cheese" near to a shelter so common that you can not date.
All covered with a well controlled light and sharply captured.

Very interesting subject, I have never seen such a lantern/light, good photo with nice composition

A nice colored Lighthouse. Beautiful contrast with the green and the misty BG.

Hi Ron
A well composed and exposed scene where the hazy background adds depth to the scene. I'm wondering though, whether the saturation has been overdone, as the colour of the grass seems just slightly unnatural.

Is this what old mariners used for a beacon? How is it lighted? Good pov and dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.

A classic and most iconic landmark for the southwest, a signature for the hoe.
I like this idea of the two lights being photographed at the same height.
Love the range of colours throught this one.
