I managed to get a few of my favourite subjects in this one - water, boats, fog and rust.

ISO400 f13 1/80sec FL=10
HDR using Photomatix
4 tiff images from 1 RAW

A copy of the original in WS (pretty boring)

What a transformation Jack, good work with your PP adjustments, definately made this image come alive.TFS

Hello Jack

Your ability to compose a scene with objects in the forground overshadow any pp work you may do. Your pp work just adds to the great POV's you select.

Hi Jack..nice work.. The composition works well and your focus and exposure is perfect.

Salut Jack,

Des détails très fins pour cette prise de vue bravo.

Hi Jack

I find these subjects great to photograph too. Thanks for putting on the original shot inWS. The hdr has done a super job here bringing out the colours of the rust and textures in the stonework. The boats and fog provide the perfect backdrop for a foreground full of interest. Did you use a tripod here?

The lowness of shot creates so much interest, the rusty chains have the eyes darting around in glee.

Hello Jack, thanks for sharing the original, what a difference the Hdr has made.
This kind of shot really appeals to me; lovely details in the fg making the most of the textures and colours.
The mistiness and the yachts are a very apt bg.
Tfs, regards Jean.
