Another print from the late 80's.

This young woman was posing for fellow camera club members at an outing in the Botanic gardens.

I was standing quite a distance away when I shot this on Ilford black and white film.

This is the middle 10% of the frame, prinyed on 16"x12" paper.
The background was vignetted away, leaving a 'pencil sketch' portrait.

That effect is somewhat lost here, because of the texture of the paper, and the lower resolution.

The camera was a Canon F1 with a Tamron 75-250 lense.

Harvesting is very beautiful
Portrait of beauty
I love the black and white mode
Good luck

Applause, loud applause, Peter, for this great lesson about high kee.
Is perfect. In addition is a beautiful model.

Hi Pete, it certainly makes the eyes and lips stand out even with it being a scanned print.Just enough texture around the face not to lose it in the bg.Fiona

Hi Peter
I really like the sketch affect of this shot, very affective. I must try his myself. Some hints on camera settings would be welcome.
I'm going to add this to my list of favouries.

Hi Peter,
Very artistic, good old black & white printing.I like this effect and the expression brought across. Evenly distributed high lights on the face.Great job.
