[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was trying to capture the feel of the area around the step pyramid. There were a few camel touts around the area of the pyramid, and I thought this captured what I wanted to say.

The "Step pyramid" of Djoser (Zoser) in the background was probably the first attempt at a pyramid-like structure. It dates from about 2600 BC. It turns out it was not as stable as a true pyramid, and the later attempts by a pharoh resulted in the more traditional shape, and the first real pyramid.

This area is about an hour south of Cairo. In my opinion, it is definitely worth a visit.

Hi Mike.

Its brings back vivid memories of when we were there last....everwhere and even the sky was a colour of sand.

stv ;o))

Hello Mike

I like your image for the traditional feel here....no cars, phones, modern buildings. Just a simple POV wit a very nice result.
