We do not like winter... or we do? - of course that depends - for me it is very paradoxical just because I hate winter when I have to drive and I love it if I can park and go to take some pictures. To do some photographs over there I had to walk by bypass stairs over fence... in USA every piece of land is fenced, no matter if this is just pure desert site - it was nice walk, temperature about -10 C but wind was not that bad - that what is dangerous is snow... it covers terrain so you have to be careful - there is many unexpected steps or holes you can't see.
This shot I've done at Salt Wash in Utah.
PP work - increase contrast, levels tune-up, slight change to red color control - originally was to dark and to reddish so now it look like in the nature and some adjustments for shadows and highlights.
Of course for final touch - noise reduction and sharpness.

Hi Tomasz

I like this winters scene and the notes attached. Wats striking for me is the way the clouds form subtle lines above the mountains that create this eye catching feel. The sparce dried grasses in the foreground and the dead tree remains all add to this appeal here. Neat work.
Have a good weekend

stv ;o))

Hi Tomasz, I prefer the winter to summer, especially with the humidity thrown in. I like the long shadows from the tall grass in the fg. Fiona

Hi Tomasz,
A nice low POV to capture this shot and dramatize the situation. I like your approach to the theme 'lost'. This branch seems to be lost in this vastness. The wide angle shot is agreeable and the treatment is fantastic.
Good PP work.

Bom dia Tomasz,
Another version of the splendid scene posted yesterday, this more complex and refined.
It's a beautiful entry for the theme of the week.
Best wishes.

Nice clear, crisp and colored shot. Looks like a nice place to go hunting for images!! TFS

Another fantastic work from you and subsequently a superb entry to the recent theme, Tomasz!
Light and shadow give the picture a mysterious look.
Well captured sharpness and clarity too.
Nice work!

Have a nice weekend.

Best wishes,

Ola Tomasz

What's not to like about this image & its composition, your slight PP work has indeed made for a strong visual Tom.
For me the inclusion of those thin foreground grasses & their shadows, balances so well with the so much larger subjects in the background,& with your so natural color of the snow, makes for a very pleasing visual.Good work.

Awesome contribution to Friday's theme! I love looking at beautiful winter scenes...from a distance. LOL Nicely captured with good lighting and dof with sharp details. Wonderful colors. Well done, tfs.
