San Diego Bay is a natural harbor and deepwater port located in San Diego County, California near the US-Mexico border. It is 12 miles (19 km) long and 1 to 3 miles (1.6 to 4.8 km) wide. The bay is surrounded by the San Diego metropolitan area, which includes the cities of San Diego, National City, Chula Vista, Imperial Beach and Coronado.

Considered to be one of the best natural harbors on the west coast of North America, it was colonized by Spain beginning in 1769. Later it served, and continues to serve to this day, as a home port of major assets, including several aircraft carriers, of the United States Navy's Pacific Fleet, which is headquartered at Pearl Harbor. Hi Eleu.

Subtle scenes such as this evoke much thought and moodiness, the misty conditions havn't completely lost the view. I like the subtle outlines of the boats, neat semetry of a kind....infact we see less motion and more emotion (poet and didn't know it)

Fitting addition to the theme this week Eleu, take care and have a good weekend.

stv ;o))

Ciao Eleu, fascinating misty composition with lovely boats, beautiful atmosphere, splenbdid B&W, very well done, my friend, have a good week end, ciao Silvio

Hi Eleu,
What a moody scenario. Beautiful misty morning with the sun already trying to penetrate the thick mist. Nice grayish soft atmosphere. One thing I would have been tempted to do, clone the plastic buoys to achieve a more peaceful ambient.
Good work and a worthy entry to the theme.

You choice to convert to a B&W makes for a stronger mood to your composition Eleu.It wont be long before that bright sun will cut its way through the fog.I wasn't to sure about the moorage bouys being in the scene, espescially the central one,but I believe they help the eye stay focused inside the scene & assist in stopping the bright area of the sun from pulling ones eye upwards towards it,so they are a good balance to your composition. TFS

Hello,great moody scene.Excellent artistic presentation.Friendly regards,Otto.

bonjour Eleu
Lost on the water with this thick mist must be a scary feeling.
you have succeeded in creating a beautiful scary scene.
Fit the theme magnificently.
Good WE,Robert

This is a super shot Eleu, the composition works very well, with the sun trying to peer through the gloom and light the boats in the foreground. I like the addition of the mooring posts in the water too. Very eerie scene and appropriate addition to this weeks theme.

I like this foggy image that adds a feeling of mystery and moodiness.
The B&W rendering works well here revfealing the very subtle textures of the sky.

You know how caththe fog...a perfect atmosphere for Carpenter film- I like how you handle the light.
um abrašo

Hello Eleu, the mist creates a scene of mystery, we have no idea what lies beyond, the bg is completely lost to us!
I like the way that the sun is just breaking through the mist making the faintest hint of a reflection on the water.
A well balanced composition.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Eleu,

The point of view is showing the details of the sailboats lost in the fog. The fog has a spooky effect on the composition. It is a good contribution to the Friday's theme. Have a nice day.

Nicely balanced and well composed. A nice relaxing shot that would look well on any wall. Nice contribution

Hi Eleu:)
Fog... oh yes - this is very good situation to be lost - great add to the theme.
I like this frame - nicely composed with unique light and very good choice that you've convert that to BW version.
Best greetings - Tom:)

Hi Eleu, I like the sun trying to push through and just leaving a faint trail across the water. Fiona

Hi Eleu
Wonderful foggy atmosphere with a very well done and beautiful monochrome presentation
Best regards, mbof mood.

Hi Eleu,
Considering that the sun is shining straight into your lens, this photo is under exposed, even if the histrogram has all data on the right. Adjusting brightness and still keeping the sun and feel of the fog in good condition is what I would recommend. For the rest, the composition with the placement of the boats is good.

P.S. Strange to see that people consider the note useful as it is just a copy from Wikipedia.
