[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In the background is Mataloc Island and an expensive 5 star resort. A bit over my budget and there's nowhere to go, with all those sheer cliffs surrounding it. But this little public beach was a nice stop for lunch. Taken with a pentax me super analogue camera because the tricky light / polarizing was problematic for my new Nikon D90. I've burned in the highlights using levels, and blurred parts of the grainy sky. At left, just off frame is a sheltered cliffside cave, where protected monitor lizards can be spotted. Did not get a decent shot of one, but will upload it as a workshop if anyone wants to see it. They look very similar to a goanna from Australia.

Hi Chris.

Nice spot indeed.
You managed to show some good detail with the abundance of light there, your excess pp work must have aided the effect. I like the way the terrsin gives the protected bowl effect around the secluded beach, nice positioning. Tfs

Viva analogue!

A well taken shot with amazing light and balanced exposure, Chris!
The colors are just wonderful and the green tones in the picture are soothing.
Good sharpness and clarity too.
Well done!

Hi Chris,
Beautiful green tones in this landscape shot. An interesting POV with so many to admire. A very sharp image with such splendid contrast.
Well done for this neat presentation.

Hi Chris,
I would love to snorkel here. A nice capture which IMO could have been a bit more sharper. As you said, I can see the bright light causing problems here for photographers. You would get light reflecting off all kinds of surfaces and throw off your metering.

Hi Chris, a shot that gives a good impression of this beautiful place. The rock formations and the sheer cliffs make it feel quite secluded.
I like your inclusion of some people giving a focal point to keep coming back to.
Lovely colours.
Thanks for the additional picture of the lizard, very interesting.
Tfs, regards Jean.
