[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I went to the Texas Photo Festival in Smithville, Texas Sunday and the town had transformed itself into a western town before the turn of the century (the one before)... lol
I took a shot of this cowboy, guns drawn and cocked. I entered two shots of the town and three shots of the models to the contest that followed.

Hi Linda,
Great portrait, very well composed, with an excellent light and color, reminding my memories of the old «wild west» movies and heroes like J. Wayne.
Very wel done, mb

Hi Linda,
A sharp portrait of this gentleman with such a serious aspect! Great light on his face, highlighting his white moustache! I like the low POV and the tight crop which dramatize more this portrait.
Well done for this neat work.

Great capture with good clarity and lots of details. DOF and colors are great too.

Is this an HDR Linda,I like the facial details as well as those of the various textures, Were the Regulators, similar to the Texas Rangers?Hope you did well in the contest.TFS

Hi Linda...this is a nice portrait...interesting subject, excellent light and tones. Well done.

Hi Linda, nice job with the details in his face, looks so rugged and plenty of character lines. Fiona

Excellent portrait . I like the POV, because looks like a tall man, and there are not strong shades on the face. Very elegant scarf and nice hat. But over all, I like the face expression of an interesting cowboy. TFS
