[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was the view of one of several bends leading up to Todorov Do ( pass )in Durmitor National Park , northern Montenegro. The height of the now icy snowbanks was still impressive for this early June take . I wanted to have the sun in the scene ,well it's bright alright but i like the effect nonetheless.
Played a bit with backlighting in Photoscape to retrieve more detail of the bank in the shade . 1/600 , f/8 iso 100 , manual mode ,
Thank you for looking ,

Wow! This was taken in early June and with that much snow still on the ground or does the snow ever go away? I like this in B&W, it has a good contrast. Good dof with sharp details. Well done, tfs.

Hi Carol.

I love the choice to grayscale this image, the light, the shading, the sky all take there place in creating such a pleasurable scene. The wispy clouds to the right sit well against the glare of the sun. tfs

stv ;o))

I like the burning bright sun bringing charm to this snowbanks, Carol!

The light and exposure are professionally handled, and a b/W treatment to the picture also worked fine here, as it gives nice sense of depth in here.
The sharpness and POV are excellent too.
Good job!

Hi Carol!
Fascinating B&W composition. The B&W works with the snow very well and I like it so much. I made B&W composition with the snow me too.
Excellent perspective and splendid lighting.
Perfect composition and appropriate frame.
ciao! Vanda

Hi Carol,
Good choice for the monochrome, isolation and cold is what I see here, well presented.
