A split second can make the mood of a picture totally different. Here I capture the moment when the guy on the FG bend down his head make it like he's not belong to the other guys on top.

Hi Yan

A superb b&w image & daily life scene of the boys playing soccer. Good sharpness & tonal range. I like the repetition of the 4 players evenly spaced across the frame & the odd man out bottom right. Tfs!

Hi Yan,
Another splendid B&W presentation of this lovely shot which tells a story...a documentation shot!
Perfect right side lighting which is enhancing the composition. The out-of-play boy is the focal point and the highlighted bunch of grass in the middle is doing the atmosphere.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hi Yan.

One of those images will a chance to ponder over what's felt, I like the exclusion of sky and the importance of the lone child. TFS

Stv :0))

Hello Yan,you are quite right;just a split second and the whole mood of a picture can be changed.
The dry grass also seems to act as a barrier between the boy and his friends, isolating him even more. And as you say, he has his head down as if he is feeling sorry for himself.
The b/w suits the shot perfectly. The exclusion of the sky focuses our attention onto the action.
Tfs, regards Jean.

I like the placement of the boys in this composition. Excellent capture especially in B&W. Good lighting and good dof with nice contrast. Well done, tfs.

Some good photographs on TL today, this one included.

The emotion of the boy's head down is intense, it is a decisive moment observed and photographed with an artistic approach as do you know it.
The four boys with balloons give dynamism to the scene. Excellent b&w photo well balanced. I recognize your style.

Ciao Yan, lovely B&W composition with nice children in play, poor lonely child in FG, sad for him, excellent clarity and splendid light, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

I like the mood you have caught in this scene, Yan!

Perfect management of light and an emotional moment you have caught here with a touching note.
The exposure is well kept and contrasts are superb in the picture.
Well spotted scene and nicely executed work!

Great B&W shot. Perfectly natural and the guy in the FG adds additional interest to the photo. I would have liked to see more of the BG at the top.
