***If you cannot see this photo PLEASE report in the forums!! Frustrating!! So the TITLE was HIDDEN by the Veil...but by typing the word HIDDEN on my title, my photo was HIDDEN... by changing the title to Covered the photo is now visible!

I tried my best this photo shoot to break out of the normal square, point and shoot style of portrait work. The bride was willing to get into some poses and so we went for it! The wedding went off well and no damage to the dress from laying in the grass!

For me the best and ONLY light I want on a bride is ambient light. I have had some really tough challenges shooting weddings indoors, with yellow windows and garbage flourescent lighting. What a nightmare! So glad I had some time with the bride BEFORE the wedding!

Hi Linda

I cannot open the big picture, so I'm critiquing the thumbnail. A nice soft diffused light & the diagonal veil adds dynamism & a certain mystique. Good tight framing and soft pastel colors. I cannot really see her eyes at all in the thumbnail. Sorry about that!

Bom dia Linda,
The technical sector of the TL took to heart the meaning of veil and hide. ;o)

Hi Linda,
WONDERFUL ! You have really nailed this- lighting, details and clarity.... all just great. Julie

HI LInda, this is a dream! Wonderful presentation, all is perfect. Very neat work.I could open it:-))
Regards Rose

Wow, I can see the larger version of your picture, Linda B-)

This moment is so lovely and you have caught it so professionally.
The lovely smile on the face of the bride is just amazing and adds a lot to the overall appeal of the picture, especially behind the see-through scarf. The light is another wonderful part of this picture.
Well kept exposure and clarity with natural skin tones.

Best regards,

Really nice Linda ... nice to see something a little unique in wedding photography. The viel over the face is lovely, as is the detail in the texture of the fabric, and the soft hairs on her forehead.
(I've been able to open this ... no problems.)

Hi Linda,I guess the focus or the softness of anything other than the veil & face, was intentional, & it works.Good capture of the natural light gently highlighting the veil & the brides face. Her skin colour is so natural.I wondered how your composition would look if viewed as a vertical, rather than a horizontal,so I tried it out & I really liked it.

Beautifully done Linda. I love the softness here, and how the veil is covering her face. And I love her smiling eyes too
Well done MF

I like the light that hitting the face. I don't think i have a decent knowledge to give a critique on wedding, but I have to be honest, that I don't like the hand.
