Dear All,

This is my contribution to Friday's theme: "Bridges".

Yesterday, going through some of my archives I happened to see the shot from a bridge built on the Rhine river which joins two capital cities of two German states. This bridge is divided into two parts - One half of it belongs to the capital city of Mainz and other one to the capital city of Wiesbaden.

The church (at far) is located in the city of Wiesbaden, and I was taking the picture on the Mainz side of the bridge.

To give the viewer a sense of scale in the picture I also tried to include a local city bus.

Hope you enjoy the scene.
You can click on the picture to enjoy the larger version of it.

Have a nice weekend.

Kind regards,

Hi Paras

Good entry in the theme with excellent sharpness & natural looking, pastel colours, with a nice low shooting angle & horizon with a 'big sky'. The wide angled, panoramic crop works well here. Tfs. Have a nice weekend!

I really enjoy this in a big format. Really nice details. Guess will make a nice evening shots too :D

Nice panoramic frame, nice contribution to the weekly theme. You have added to the grandeur of the bridge, by reserving a large part of the image for the blue sky. TFS.

Great POV and DOF narrow, Paras. It's super for Contribution Theme Week. But abeleza photo is not limited to this, you have mounted diagonally on the contribution gives harmony and rhythm to work. Beautiful image, sure to be one of the highest scores.
Have a sunny WE.

Hi Paras.

i do like the distant associated with your image. You still manage such fine detail of this low arch spanned bridge. The spire to one end keeps the eye hovvering on the far bank, it must look a picture also of an evening with the standard lamps lit. TFS

Stv :0))

Have a good weekend.

Hi Paras
posting a long bridge in a panorama photo was a wise step. good capture. very clear details and splendid sharpness. well composed. the church at one end of the bridge is a nice bonus and the bus on the other end is indeed a fine scale.
pleasant colors.

Hi Paras,
A lovely panorama with this bridge taking all the space from one side to the other. A nice stretch with the church ending the perspective on the left.
Quite a sharp image with good color saturation.
I would have cloned the black pole in the lower right bottom.
Nice play with the lamp posts on the bridge.
Good shoot!
Enjoy your week end.

Hi Paras,a good entry for this weeks theme.I agree with your note re the inclusion of the bus at one end & the church spire at the other, they give the viewer a good sense of size & length of this ,well detailed bridge capture.Did you get in all the spans or was there one more to the right?

Hi Paras, thanks very much for your contribution - this is the bridge connecting my hometown Wiesbaden with Mainz - How often did I cross the Rhine ......

Hi Paras,

A good contribution to the Friday's theme, the length of the bridge is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the architecture of the bridge. The good luminosity is giving nice tints to the colors. Have a nice day.
