It was a shame I didn't get a picture of her face but the horse says it all!

Taken a couple of weeks ago at a cross country training event, the rider and horse made it over the jump ok but the rider came off afterward - Both rider and horse went round to complete the course and had a few more spills along the way....no people or animals were injured.

Adjusted levels and shadows, resized and added pinstripe border.

Hope you like it

Boa tarde Bri,
That's a great entry and a very good shot. Razor shrap, special lightness and excellent timing.

Hi Brian

Awesome capture and first class addition to theme friday, love the expression. No tongues were biten in the making of this photograph, very well taken, have a good weekend. TFS

Stv :0))

I'd like to see the rider's facial expression as he is going down! I had a few of those. One time the horse refused to go over the jump, I did but without a horse. Great timing and capture of man and beast. Good pov and dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.

Hello Brian,a very good action shot, your timimg was spot-on, no blur that I can see.
The horse is obviously thinking...what is going on? Why can't she hold on?
As Eleu has said, it would have been a bonus to have the expression of the rider, but nevertheless, a good picture.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Bri,this one works very well for the theme, you already mentioned in your notes about not getting the ladies facial expression, but you certainly have captured the action. In the thumbnail I did not notice the empty stirrup on the left ,nor the lady riders leg under the horse's belly, man I'm surprised she wasn't injured, just her pride I guess.A silly question, but is that the jump behind her,it looks all of 2ft tall?

The horse looks like making grimace to his poor rider...

Hi Brian,
Perfect timing for this action shot. Quite an interesting expression on the face of this horse! A nicely shot presentation of this sport with the jockey falling off the animal!
Great shot!

The horse face is priceless :D I love that tongue also :D

Hi Brian, 'while you make up your bloody mind I might just clean this nostril out'. Sorry but that tongue was just asking for it.. The things we catch just snappiing away.Fiona

Boa noite Brian,

Excellent timing and contribution for the friday's theme!
Good focus, beautiful colors, very good light and contrast.

Got to agree with that horse facial expression. Doesn't look too relax at that moment..)) I can only assume that the jockey ended up on the grown.

I really like this shot. The proportions in composition, and the angle choosen to shot it, makes it very interesting. Good exposure and contrast.

Hoi Brian,

A great posting to the theme !!

Indeed, a shame you couldn't get HER expression. It looks like the rider is falling. In that case the expression would not be that happy. ;-)

Good action shot, with good sharpness and exposure.
Composition good too.

A wonderful action shot with amazing details and contrasts, Brian!

Superb light management and well balanced exposure make this work so pleasing to enjoy.
The colors are natural and POV is excellent.

A belated suitable entry to Friday's theme!

Kind regards,
