[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We were lucky to be near this disused Quarry hut as the storm blew in off the Atlantic.
The light was changing frequently so it was as well I was shooting RAW where most of the processing was done before converting to mono in CS5,I have given it a slight blue caste, which I think suits the mood.I could be wrong of course...

Wonderful photo, very sharp, with a great drama, a powerful composition and presentation in b/w. Great mood and a great photo.
Regards, mb

Gathering and violent storm a coming and great idea to do it in B&W it seems more powerful. Great pov and dof with nice contrast. Well done, tfs.

Hi Les...this is an excellent photograph....nice conversion to black and white. Great contrast. Well done.

First I thought that the blue tint was a mistake, but on second thought I think it works rather well here. The clouds really makes this photo.

Hi Les,
A splendid monochromatic landscape shot with such a blue mood! A very peaceful ambient with the sole structure in such vastness. A very spectacular sky and quite a neat presentation.
I like this particular stormy atmosphere.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hi Les
Like the shot - love to see big skies especially when there's plenty of energy in them.
The RAW/B&W conversion works well - did you try dome dodging/burning to bring out more detail in the stonework? It also increases contrast and sometimes adds to the drama of a shot.
Nice one & TFS
Dai

Hello Les,an impressive sky as the storm blows in.Good positioning of the building in the shot with the wall taking us right across the picture.
You asked about the blue,I wonder what it would look like in black and white? As I read that it started life in b/w. Either way, it is a dramatic scene.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Les,
