The idea was that Lizzy`s head would be still, whilst showing movement in her hands when mussing her hair in the mirror.

This is an excellent shot, Les.

The vignetting, the motion blur of the hands, the bokeh of the background, the light, colour and tone of the shot are all working against each other to bring the eye right into the main point of focus, which is her face.

The way you've captured her eyes looking up into the shot, the relaxed expression as she knows exactly what she wants to do with her hair…..Brilliant.
I assume this is a shot taken into a mirror, so what we see is what she sees?

Forgive my lack of expression here, but I just can't explain what it is I'm trying to say.

This shot is like certain types of food. You either like it or you don't.
Personally, I'd eat it again and again.

Excellent work,

Martin

Hi Les,you certainly obtained what you set out to capture,a informative lesson on how to capture motion,I hope you don't mind me suggesting that it would have be helpful as a learning tool, for those interested in trying your effect out
but were not sure how to go about it,if they could read the exif data, for shutter speed etc,or if you had written the How.
Regards
Ron

Hi Les

Not a bad result with the facial features sharp & good motion blur in the hands. I particularly like the color coordination between her blond hair & the straw or hay at left. Tfs!

I like it...the idea is good and the execution gives good textures even the action blur is appealing..wings of imagination. Nice focus and a singular good portrait
um abraço
