Early morning autumn light in the Purbeck Hills at Corfe Castle.

This was taken on a very cold frosty morning just after the sun had risen and was raking the autumn colours with its warm light.

B&W Polarising filter and a Lee 81A warm up used to saturate and emphasise the colours.

Hi Miles,

A superb landscape, taking good advantage of the early morning light. The opposing diagonal slopes are nicely realized, and positioning of the castle ruins is perfect. There's nice depth to this also, tack sharp from foreground to infinity.

Excellent landscape Miles! Great colour, very sharp. The combination of filters gives a well-saturated and warm image...
Thoughtful composition too - a tripod always helps 'cos it makes us slow down ;-)

Hi Miles

Superb lighting, saturation, textural details & sharpness, with the hilltop castle at right making a fine focal point. A little bit of pixelation in the sky but that's easily fixed. Nice warm cold color contrasts between the yellow green grass & blue sky. Tfs!

A good follow up to your night time picture Miles.
Obviously a well thought out composition using the opposing diagonals of the slope in the fg and the rise to the castle ruins.
The filters served you well helping to create warm colours and making a very appealing shot.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Miles,
lovely warm colours from the morning light and the old ruined castle is nicely positioned

The early morning light really helps to make this shot with the light and shade. The frost seems to have disappeared. The tripod with that low shutter speed ensures that the shot is nicely sharp and the aperture ensures long dof. Nice job
