[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Three Valley Gap is an unincorporated settlement and small resort and heritage-themed amusement park on the Trans-Canada Highway located on and adjacent to the lake of the same name, southwest of Revelstoke just west of the summit of Eagle Pass. The three valleys of the name include the eastern and western egresses from the pass and a southward opening into the upper reaches of Wap Creek, which is a northern tributary of the Shuswap River.

It is very rare to have this lake calm as you can see here. I've been here many times and this one is first that I was able to shot with mirroring effect. Just a few minutes later when I replaced my lens to do some wide angle shots... wind come from "nowhere" and lake became wavy...

Hi Tomasz

Wonderful symmetrical reflections in this superb BC postcard scene, with good graphism of the dark rocks at right, & a pleasant diffused light, thanks to the clouds. Tfs!

Hi Tom,
a beautiful shot from beautiful BC. Nice composition to gt the symmetric reflection. I wish the colours were a bit saturated and a bit more vibrant.

Water seems a mirror. Very nice shot.

Enric.

Nice central composition with strong reflections and nice foreground interest from the rocks at the bottom right. For me just a little "grey" all over. It's a shame the lighting was so dull, and I personally reckon that a little work with the "Levels" in Photoshop would help bring this out a bit.

... a note from you about the shot would be nice as well!

Hi Tomasz,
A splendid landscape shot from an agreeable POV. I like the rocks at the FG which are giving a considerable sense of depth into the perspective.
A sort of painting-like PP work to produce such an artistic result to this beauty!
A nice reflection and a spectacular sky to enhance the presentation.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hello Tomasz,
That's a lovely sight full of nature. And you've beautifully caught this in bisectional manner where reflection is adding charm. Nicely chosen PoV. Well done my friend. Thanks for sharing.
Best Wishes,
Inaam

Hi Tomasz,

Very impressive POV enhancing still more with reflections.
I think that the low light adds a natural autumn atmosphere.
Very nicely done!

Annie

Love those reflections TOM! Your levels here are very nice, no OE, super strong symmetry here, with the rocks in the FG just breaking it all up! You really did catch the lake at a perfect time!
B-)

Superb mood !

Hello Tomasz, a good PoV across the calm lake. There are some beautiful, natural colours especially in the trees on the l/h/s.The reflection creates a symmetrical shot.
I just wish that there was a little more light on the right hand side, so that we were able to see more of the details.
Tfs, regards Jean.
