Another blue hour shot taken between Nanchansi Temple & Starbucks, which is beyond the bridge in the distance. That's the Hotel Nikko Wuxi at left in the bg. The tree at left is a willow. Wasn't sure if I should clone out the people enjoying an alfresco meal outdoors in the bottom left corner.

Hi Chris
great POV. good capture of play of lights at Blue Hour. splendid reflections and fine composition with the canal well placed for lead-in. interesting scene, rich with details.

Hi Chris ,
Once again , a very wonderful picture , with splendid lights and reflects ; Bravo ! Ernest .

In terms of the lead in lines (river and buildings) this works well. The colours are great too. However the shot seems slightly off in the horizontal plane, but thats more of a comment than a critique.
I don't think you should have cloned the people out as it gives a good impression of life as it is happening.

Hi Chris,
I like the POV to capture this canal with a wide angle to produce this V-Shape composition.
Great use of the blue hour enhanced with these illuminated lines. Beautiful reflection in the water. A very neat presentation despite the ISO 1600.
Well done, great photography, my friend.

Bonjour Chris

The blue hour and also the Pov are the elements of success here.
The depth of field is surperbe but mostly it is the reflections and the colors of night that I find beautiful.
Bon dimanche

Hello Chris

I think the people in the image show that there is life here besides the neon. Awesome capture of all the rich colors during the blue hour. nice

Nee-haow Chris,
Today I saw a post from Melanie which was taken from similar PoV and almost similar twilight photograph but it was taken in Netherlands. And I find this logitudinal reflection in the canal interesting. And the highlighting of the building contours is charming in this image from China. A wonderful photograph, well done my friend. Thanks for sharing.
Best Wishes,

Hi Chris,
Nice blue hour shot. I like the composition that leads the eye to the vanishing point. The people at the bottom left is not a problem IMO.

Hi Chris,

Your Chinese series are really wonderful and yet memorable for me!
Excellent shape and color with the neon highlights and the reflection on water
Looks like Venice of Italy
Best wishes

Like the mood you have caught in this nocturnal shot from wonderful buildings with lovely architecture and lighting, Chris!

The sharpness and POV are excellent, and colors are well shown.
Good contrasts and nice show of mirror-reflections.

Thanks and regards,

Grandisoe perspective et ocmpo superbe image quelle vue quel reflets avec ces belle lumirèe ce cadrage longitudinal le bleu de l'eau grandisoe.

Bravo et amitié

Very attractive photo, excellent lights and reflections, great composition

I love the colours and the not quite symmetry of the image. Strong lean in line makes for a strong image, cold blues and warm yellows go well together and the people add a sense of life. I really like this. :)

From the pictures I've seen this canal look much better than the canals in Venice. Love the different colors decorating those buildings. Good dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.

Hi Chris,
another lovely evening shot, I prefer it when the reflection is rippled like this one as opposed to a mirror image, I know there is nothing to gauge the horizon by but it looks like it needs a slight rotation to the right

Hi, Chris. A lovely nocturnal shot of the Wuxi canal with colors, reflections. The POV and timing chosen was excellent for this shot with clarity. Well compsed and presented. Cheers.

Olá Chris

Hi Chris,

The ambiance of this blue hour on the Wuxi canal is so romantic through your lens!
The light is really well captured and makes a very nice contrast with blue sky and water. I agree with Mark about the light tilt of the horizon but bright colors more than compensate this minor detail.

Lovely shot Chris. Great colours and perspectuve and NO GRAIN despite the low light. Nicely done.

Hi Chris...nice dramatic shot...excellent tones and focus. Nicely composed.

Hi Chris,
The sharpness and POV are excellent and colors are well shown.
Good contrasts and nice show of mirror-reflections. Well done & TFS.

Chris, "blue hour" photos are some of my favorites. I really like the reflections on the water too. I'm so glad that you did not clone out the people dining al fresco as I think they add a human element to the shot. There are so many lines and sharp angles in the photo that I like the people included. Very nice viewpoint you had. Were you on a boat or bridge? Lisa
