The Medina in Fez. Unchanged for a nearly 1000 years except for the satellite dishes. Founded in 9th Centaury and home to the oldest university in the world, Fez reached its height in the 13th–14th centuries, when it replaced Marrakesh as the capital of the kingdom of Morocco. Medina is the oldest part of Fez and still retains the character of a medieval Arabic town.

The Medina is a rabbit warren of streets, alleyways, shops, residential dwellings and places that provide religious and social services. There are six minarets of mosques in this image. The high wall that surrounds the Medina can be seen on the very top of the image.

Very interesting place to visit and wander around.

Hello Sunil,
Your snapshot from "Maghrib" is awesome. Fez is the city that produces one of the best leather qualities that is supplied to Europe and it's the back bone of that city's economy. Warm tone on the building structures is looking nice. A beautifully taken image, well done. Thanks for sharing.
Best Regards,
Inaam

Hello Sunil
Wonderful city view capture. The sharpness and the detail are excellent, the light management and the focus are perfect, and the composition very well done with the city growing up to the top of the frame.
Congrats, mb

Bonjour Sunil,
Odile

Watching TV is an undeniable pastime/activity among the Fez residents evidenced indeed by the sheer number of satellite dishes propped up on the square roofs , those have changed the skyline quite a bit in recent times yet the city looks appealing from your vantage point , i appreciate that beyond the wall trees are growing on the hills undisturbed by the commotion within the Medina .
I agree with you Fez is a very interesting destination and when touts/unofficial guides are kept at bay even much more so !
Thanks for sharing ,
Carol

I like your composition with the arrangement of the towers and the satelite dishes bearing witness to the passage of time
regards
David
